COMPUTER AS ICT



REFLECT ON:
How does computer be used as ICT? Does it really help in the learning process of the students? Explain.


First and foremost, ICT is the Information Communication Technology, it serve as the reservoir of improve, updated facts, knowledge and events or simply called as source of information, it is also the first hand communication in different media. ICT is used to support in students learning, it is the innovative resources in learning as of today’s generation. ICT can be used in many forms such as Microsoft Office that comprises the Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power Point, and Microsoft Publisher. Wherein the MS Word is used to compose letters, articles, and reports using symbols, graphics, and images programmed in the computer. MS Excel, used to compute grades, create graphs, charts, and tables. MS Power Point is used to create slide presentation of your reports. And MS Publisher used in creating cards, invitations, certificates, pamphlet’s and newspaper. Websites, such as YAHOO, GOOGLE, and YOUTUBE are used in accessing information and in social media like FACEBOOK, INSTAGRAM and TWITTER for entertainment purposes. Also Blogs, Games, and other Soft wares are used beneficial.  ICT serve as only as a tool, it depends on the users on how he/she use it , because the way he/she use it can make the difference. Indeed it really does help the learning process tom become better and effective. Using ICT as a tool will promotes students literacy and erudite. The knowledge gained from ICT will be used of the learners to access and retrieve information and they can interpret meanings. And the global competence of the learners will be up lift as they use ICT, learning’s will be observed while they are applying it in those many uses of ICT was stated. It will become fewer burdens for the students to access information that’s why they can easily gather data for their studies and will lead to better learning.
